Hey Guys,
So I needed to get a 5 Ghz adapter due to the operation of my microwave disrupting wireless communication, something that has been a HUGE pain when it comes to competitive matches. My father went out to best buy and got an AC-53 Nano from Asus. While I definitely appreciate Asus' status as a motherboard manufacturer, I've been having some ridiculous problems with this network adapter.
My main issue is that, although the adapter recognizes the 5 Ghz network, it ALWAYS says "can't connect to this network" when I attempt to switch to 5 Ghz. I've also tried running it via 2.4 Ghz, but have received EXTREMELY slow speeds, although other adapters seem to get completely fine bandwidth, so it's not the location of my PC that's the problem. Also, it IS able to connect to the 5 Ghz network, but that requires me to mess around with a crap ton of network modes, which end up failing me a few hours later.
WHAT I'VE TRIED:
Restarting the Router
Changing DNS
Reinstalling/Rolling Back Drivers
Using the Adapter on a Different PC
All help would be greatly appreciated.
