Hey everyone! Ordering some new computer parts later this week and I was wondering if these parts (specifically the motherboard and RAM) are compatible? I know Ryzen has had RAM issues previously and QVL's are never helpful. Hope anyone can help!

(Parts: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/bPPqbX)

RAM: G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Motherboard: Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard
CPU: Ryzen 1600

I have the same ram on my x370 strix and it works fine so I imagine that the b350 model should be good with it as well. You may require to update your bios to a later revision before you can get it to work at higher speeds though. Generally qvls are generated when the product gets released for out of the box compatibility but as time goes by they work out the kinks for the rest of the stuff.

If you do want to make sure try messaging or calling the customer support of the ram manufacturer-they'd be able to tell you for sure.
Actually, QVL's are helpful and first generation Ryzen has real compatibility issues. If you buy RAM that is not on the motherboard's QVL, then make sure you get it from a vendor who accepts returns as the RAM you listed is not on the QVL.

The QVL for the Strix B350-F does not list any 3200mhz speed RAM. If you can get it to work, you may have a very hard time getting it to run at 3200mhz.

Would you recommend any RAM of a decent speed then for a first gen ryzen cpu? I'm completely stumped...
