I have a Sennheiser 363D I want to buy a new headset with which I could feel the difference in gaming. especially FPS games. while the 363D is great for music, but sometimes it is really hard to detect footsteps or where they are coming from. I also want to feel the difference, not a simple one. According to my search on the web, the ASUS ROG Centurion True 7.1 was the best one for gaming, but it has mic problems, hardware related. Is the asus one really the top of the line when it comes to gaming? max budget is 800$. It does not have to have a great mic, but the asus one is faulty that is why I don't want to buy it. Any help is appreciated.
