So I was having issues with my SSD not showing up in the boot priority list. I was doing some troubleshooting to fix it when it just dropped from existence entirely. I've reset the computer, re-seated the SATA and power cables and tried several different ports on the motherboard. Only thing I haven't tried that I can think of is another SATA cable. Originally I was just booting it manually as a work around but now it won't even show up on the boot override list.

It's the only one that can boot windows 10 correctly so I really need it working again if possible. I've got it plugged into a Z370 Aorus Gaming 5 motherboard. Can anybody give me some ideas to try? Thank you and have a nice day.

I just had to enable the AHCI drive option in my ASUS Z97-AR motherboard to get my SSD to be recognized (connected to the 6Gb/s port on the mobo). I've never heard of needing to do something more than that like you described. Wow.

Nevermind, I have managed to fix it myself through random messing around. While in the BIOS under the peripherals menu there was an option called "Use RST Legacy OROM" and it was disabled. After I enabled it and restarted the computer the SSD popped up as an option for boot priority again.
