Specs

H81i-plus mItx motherboard
Fractal Design Kelvin T12 AIO
I7 4790k
HyperX Savage DDR3 2400MHz 16GB
MSI GTX 970 4G
Corsair RM750x PSU

Computer restarts when OC CPU and setting Vcore to 1.250, meaning it will not shut down when setting it to 1.225 etc.
It almost always happens on AIDA64; SinJulia or Mandel, if I am not mistaken FPU tests.
Could it be the AVX creating 10+c in a matter of seconds?
It shuts down abruptly and completely and I need to press the power button to turn it on again.

I have swapped Motherboard but for the same board model, so it might be a VRM problem.
replaced my old PSU with this PSU, so it's definitely not that.
CPU is delidded with condoctunaut LM, and this is probably not the issue.
Tried without the GPU, so rules that out.
CPU usually never hits above 75c, usually stays below 60c.

I will appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks folks!!

Anyone help me figure out this problem?

Thank you for your answer, i think i have tried almost every option available in bios, although there is a tab I have not tried messing with.
Is there anyway i could turn this protection off? and would that fry my VRMS. I could buy a new mITX board, but the way i have customized my case caters to this board, and the big VRM heatsinks would prevent me from using one of my exhaust fans. Getting Gentle Typhoons in the mail soon aswell =)

Update the H81i-plus only had 4pin cpu power molex if thats relevant.

Hmm, download hwminitor and prime95 and disable avx "You can add CpuSupportsAVX=0 to the local.txt to disable AVX factoring".

Also the issue could be that it doesnt have vrm cooling.

I pushed my g31m-s2l without vrm cooling on 1.525v on short test, still handled well.
Weird i can say.

What about ram? Xmp profile?

Ram is on a custom timing, I've set everything to default and still same issue. Going to test what you said now.

Ran a blend test of prime 95 at 1.275vcore with AVX disabled never hit 80c.
Computer abruptly shut down yet again.
If it was Ram would I not get other errors? As in garbled graphics and or blue screens? It cannot be motherboard related if you passed a 1.5v through and we'll I'm down to the CPU then...??!!

Ventilation is not bad considering this thing is an SFF case.

The front is radiator with push-pull intake configuration 2 Noctua NF-F12.
Top and side fans are outtake fans(GPU is OC and creates a lot of heat, which they effectively dissipate).
Fractal Design fans that came with the Kelvin T12.
PSU fan is pointed downwards towards motherboard so it pulls air out of the case as well, tested both configs same issue.
