Any clue whats going on? I recently got an annoying virus (its in the virus thread if anyone wants to poke around) and now im having issues with my PC dragging etc. CPU also goes to 99% and 100% usage and I have no idea why.

This image is from the virus thread and the Disk was at 100% usage:

and this is when its not at 100%:

except its service for malvarebytes antivirus scanning HDD for viruses. And you use problematic version of antivirus:

I didn't even have it open and it still jumps to 100% usage so I don't think that's the issue.

In Task Manager click the top of the Disk Column to sort Disk usage into descending order.

Look for some other process with high disk usage. Could be a resource conflict involved.

Download and reinstall Malwarebytes.

Malwarebytes is running for some reason and possibly due to the buggy update as noted by Rdlsw.

Before I do that, is it normal to have all these svchost.exe's?

So how do I back up my google chrome data before I uninstall it? I have everything sync'd if thats what you mean.

Not a Chrome user per se.

Here is a link that should help:

https://blogs.systweak.com/2018/06/how-to-backup-and-restore-google-chrome-data/

Found several other similar links and suggest that you search for and read some additional "how-to's" just to ensure that you will be able to do the backup and verify the backup before reinstalling Chrome.

The sync may or may not be backing up Chrome. Check the application you are using and its' configuration with respect to the folders and files being sync'd.

And look at the destination (target) location for the sync'd copies. Ensure those files are up-to-date, readable, and recoverable. Sync may run but that is no guarantee that your data is really there.

Alright I reinstalled chrome and kept all my data other than login's so what next?
Chrome wasn't the issue, I was playing a game and everything start not responding and my CPU was at 87% usage. seems like when stuff stops responding my Disk usage is at 100% aswell.

Start watching your system the Reliability Monitor.

You can also use Event Viewer to look for errors and warnings:

Here is a link from within this Forum to help:

Remove any unused or seldom used apps from Startup. Narrow down the opportunities for some resource conflict.

The overall intent is to discover what is taking the CPU and disk resources and either using them or not releasing them when finished.

It could be a physical issue with the drive or some other component. A "perfect storm" scenario.

Consider opening the case. Do some cleaning, reseat all cards, chips, cables, jumpers, etc.. Ensure that everything is fully and firmly in place.

You said something about removing stuff from the startup list, do you know how to remove reidel.exe and sicken.exe along with 3 others? They are from a virus I recently got rid of.

What AV software did you use? Would expect the software to remove such files.....

Otherwise, you might be able to find the folders where the .exe's reside.

Just search using the filename and delete the file if and when found.

Here is a link that will help:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026268/windows-10-change-startup-apps

You can easily find other similar links. Do avoid any that involve registry edits. Registry edits are a last resort.

3rd party utilities: e.g., CCleaner (free and widely used) may do the job for you.

No I think you misunderstood, I have removed those already so they dont actually exist but for some reason anti malware malwarebytes didnt remove the exe's from the startup, so I was wondering if I could manually remove them from the startup because they don't exist anymore.

If they are disabled in Startup - just ignore.

Otherwise, if truly deemed necessary, try CCleaner - it may remove them.

https://www.ccleaner.com/news/release-announcements/2018/5/23/ccleaner-v543

As always, follow the installation instructions carefully. Back up all data beforehand.

If not you could try editing the registry - not recommended especially if you have not done such things before.

Update:
CCleaner let me remove the startup stuff that needed to be removed. So what's next to try?
