I've just bought a new GPU and it doesn't give me the FPS that it should. I think my GPU is bottlenecked, but i'm not sure.

GPU: ASUS 1070 Ti Cerberus
CPU: i5 7500
RAM: 8gb single channel
Storage: SSD 120gb
HDD 1tb

Fortnite FPS: Max 150. Min 80. Medium Low Settings

Are running ddr3 or ddr4 ram? I also think you should get 8 more gigs of you have a free slot. And also a bettee cpu. Also check your psu, if you are overclocking your parts may not have enough power flowing through them.

My PSU is a 650W and i think my ram is DDR4. I have an extra slot, but i just asked why i aint getting more fps IG.

Did you download the newest drivers from Nvidia after installing the new card? If not then get them and during installation check the box that says "perform a clean installation". Doing so will remove old drivers and install the new ones.

Your i5-7500 is fine with that GPU so it's not the issue for your low FPS.

What monitor are you using? Min 80 and Max 150 FPS is quite good.

Well i assume your setup is being bottlenecked, but do you know how much wattage your cpu and gpu take when overclocked( assuming you overclocked them) Usually a Core i7 770k or i7 8700k can handle extensive workloads far better than a core i5, while they do heat up more due to either larger workloads or more cores they offer extraordinary power to you system. Since the higher grade cpu can handle so much more your gpu can send data to your cpu without clogging with information.your amount and speed if ram may also limit your gpu because it maps out the way for information in your storage devices(so from what i have been told) Also newer gen DDR ram allows for faster speeds and lower power consumption

Im using a Asus 144hz and i have geforce experience so i downloaded it from there. Geforce Experience said "You have the newest driver installed". So i think i have the newest and in my control panel it also says its the newest.

I don't understand 100% what you're saying, but i don't know how much wattage my gpu and cpu take. My psu is 650W. I haven't overclocked.

If your using the Nvidia Geforce Experience to "optimize" your game you may want to manually set it up. Even though Nvidia realizes you have a 144hz monitor it typically doesn't match the settings for it, I had this issue on my Asus VG248QE (1080P/144hz).

I haven't clicked "optimize game" and it doesn't do it automaticly. It's set not to do it.

CPU usage is way too high, ideally those numbers should be reversed. Are you running any extra programs in the background or streaming your gameplay?

I doubt this is the issue. I've seen quite a few tests for gaming with single and dual channel and the difference is pretty minimal, 5-10 at the most and sometimes the single channel actually performs better.

No i'm not. It's a bottleneck i think. My GPU is better than my CPU.
