So I just recently moved and we have satellite internet with 100 gb data cap. Needless enough to say that this isn't usable in my families current situation. I have one more provider that can give me 15 mbps which is the same speed as the satellite if we put an antenna on top of a house on a hill because my house is down a valley we do not get strong enough signal and I was wondering what the best way to get signal from the house on the hill to my house about 500 feet away? Thanks for the help.

500feet is a little beyond what your typical home network equipment can achieve. So that rules out most WiFi routers and extenders as well as standard CAT5/6 cabling. (Might get enough bandwidth out of Cat5e or Cat6 cabling if running a cable is an option)

Point to point (directional) WiFi is certainly a thing. Also laser based ethernet and other options. I would call up a local network installation company (business/enterprise class) they would be able to do a professional installation. Many long-range wireless devices require licenses to operate.

DIY approach would be something like buying or building your own Cantennas to increase the directional power of standard equipment.

That would be assuming you have access to the house on...
