2 almost identical homebuilt systems keep crashing and I cannot figure out why

Back in 2012 I built a system for myself and one for my wife that were almost identical.
The only difference being the size of the Western Digital HDD and the version of Antec Sonata cases.

All along both systems have had an issue with intermittent crashing/rebooting.
I have tried memory tests and swapping components between the two systems and cannot seem to figure out what is causing the problem.

Most often it is during gameplay on WoW or other games but sometimes it is during playback of videos or just while surfiing the Internet. It seems to happen most often when there is high video/audio demand such as while I am gaming and window out to watch a YouTube video guide or something similar.

The systems will sometimes just reboot or BSOD and then restart but more often then not, the screen goes blank/black and the fans seem to get louder, like they have sped up, and a hard reset is required. Sometimes the audio makes a loud buzz like sound like the driver stuck or something.

MB = ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX
CPU = AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb Quad-Core 3.4 GHz Socket AM3 125W
CPU FAN = Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
RAM = 16GB (4 x 4GB) G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
VIDEO CARD = SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5
PS = CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91
HDD = WD1501FASS 1.5TB 7200 RPM 64MB and WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB
CASE = Antec Sonata III and Antec Sonata II
OS = Both systems were originally set up with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and have since been upgraded to Windows 8.1 and finally Windows 10.

The problem is annoying, but overall the systems have functioned okay, for the most part, which is why it has taken me 6 years to getting around to actually asking for help. If somebody could help me figure this out it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I tried testing the hard drives and there do not seem to be any errors.

Two weeks ago I swapped out the 6850 video card for a 5770 and did not have a single crash in two weeks.
I figured I would try putting the 6850 back in since I had never removed and reinstalled drivers before but in less than an hour it crashed like it has in the past while logged into WoW and having a browser open etc.

I guess it is something wrong with the video card but it seems strange because when I put the other 6850 I have in the system it does the same thing.

Are both 6850 cards bad or is there some sort of driver or compatibility issue that is causing the crashes?

If the cards are bad, what is a good upgrade/replacement for the systems that I have?
