Hi,
I have a gaming rig that i built last summer, and now is time to upgrade it.

My current build is :

CPU: intel i5 6500 3.2Ghz
MOBO : gigabyte H110M-A
GPU :gtx 1060 3gb
HDD :Western Digital 1TB
RAM : Kingston Hyper X black 1x8gb DDR4-2133
PSU :Evga 500w
PC case : Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02 Mid Tower Gaming Case

The upgrades I want to make are :
GPU : Gtx 1080 8gb around 650$ CA
RAM: add one more stick of the same I already own around 110$ CA
SSD: 250gb going for around 60$ CA

I would enjoy feedback on my upgrade choices, I'm open to different upgrades if suggested.
I'm also worrying if a gtx 1080 could fit on my motherboard because it's rather small.
This brings my upgrade total to around 820$

Thanks for your help!

I agree with M04D18,

1: A matching stick of ram will be a very nice upgrade so you're running dual channel instead of single channel.
2: You may have to upgrade your PSU if you go for a GTX 1080
3: If your monitor is only 1080p / 60 hz a GTX 1080 would be a waste.
4: If you're not running a 120/144 hz monitor I would consider a GTX 1070...

1080 will fit in your motherboard but its kind of overkill, you will need new PSU too for it i guess and and new monitor if you got a 1080p/60hz one. ( Otherwise your monitor will bottleneck the card) .

So imo if you are not going to buy a new monitor( re-if you got a 1080p/60hz one) , the gpu upgrade is unnecessary cause 1060 is still a great 1080p card.
SSD and extra ram will be helpfull.
