Hello!

I have G752VT with 64GB of ram and original HDD. I want to do some upgrade on the storage
but don't want to pay a lot, I am looking to put a WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s M.2 2280 SSD(WDS100T2B0B) in. Before I go out and buy I am wondering is it compatible? It is M.2 (2280) has somebody try to put WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB PC SSD drive in the G752VT?

Solution
Looking at the spec page:
2.5" SATA3*1
- 500GB HDD 5400/7200 RPM
- 1TB HDD 5400/7200 RPM
- 2TB HDD 5400 RPM
PCIE x 4 256G / 512G

The only M.2 drives that were available were PCIe based, not SATA.

Manual here:

The M.2 2280 slot does not support M.2 SATA SSD

Not sure that drive will work.

Under "storage", the specs list a "PCIE x 4 256G / 512G"

The drive you've selected is a SATA based m.2 drive.
So, either you replace the current HDD with a SATA III 2.5" SSD, or, you get a PCIe based m.2 drive.
Samsung 970 EVO, for instance. A lot more money for the same GB.

A 2.5" SATA III SSD is the same performance as the m.2 SATA III drive you listed above.
