Hoping you can help me after reaching the end of my tether.
I got an Acer Aspire ES1-731-P7RK for the lovely big screen, but couldn't cope with the slow 4GB RAM. I got an 8GB stick, but it's been a rough ride.
I get the thing up and running with the 8GB, and it recognises the RAM - it's all fine. But as soon as I go to restart, or it goes to sleep the screen dies. I put the 4GB stick back and it starts again. Replace it yet again with the 8GB and it works, but as soon as I go to restart the screen is black - though I can hear it running.
So it's booting, but with no display. I've tried hooking it up to the TV, but nothing on there either. Why?
