I have plenty of stuff on my SSD. Such as 7 games Some of those games are Steam games, 1 is GOG games and Some are just downloaded games. What my question is, i'm afraid to have so much, not only games but, programs that are for the computer. And i am wondering if it is safe basically my question. Is it safe to the read and write, if i go through folders and check things out, like adding mods for example or uninstalling or installing games ect.

Solution
A SSD, having no moving parts rates to be more reliable than a HDD.
Put windows and all your active folders on the SSD.

Backup is a different issue.
Backup what you value to some sort of EXTERNAL device.
Make a backup of the disk using cloning software like Macrium Reflect (free version). Clone your drive to a separate disk. Then you can tinker with established content you mention and if things don't pan out, you will have the back up drive to rely on.

I do.
All my house systems do a daily/nightly or weekly backup to my NAS box.

Once you set it up on a schedule, it just does its thing, completely unattended until you need it.

You aren't going to "use up" your SSD just by clicking through folders. The endurance for these things is in the many TBs. Looking at the folder structure is barely doing anything.

Just don't fill up the drive. Keep empty space on it. It will work better that way.

Some are just downloaded games.

So you care about your drive health so much you don't want to browse the folders, but you are willing to put "downloaded games" on it? That's odd. Your drive will last longer if you stop downloading games onto it.

If having stuff on an SSD and using it were somehow "unsafe", and it "uses up" the SSD, my 3 main house systems would have died long ago.
They are all SSD only. 8 drives across 3 systems.
