I have a ASUS Z97-P motherboard, and I can see from looking inside/reading online that there are 4 SATA ports in total on it, does this mean that essentially if I didnt use a optical drive I can have 4 HDDs?

So that means I can buy one of those stick looking SSDs, and it will go in somewhere?

Yes, there is a slot between the CPU and graphics card slot. It may be hidden by the CPU cooler and the graphics card.

This is the PSU I have, I believe they are Molex? (sorry in case you couldn't tell, I'm not the smartest)

Yeah unfortunately all used, there are 2 for HDD's - 1 for the Memory card reader, and 1 with a adaptor on it for the Optical drive

But you already asked about HDDs WITHOUT the optical. So that frees up one and then buy a "Y" splitter like I linked to power a HD and the card reader.
