Critique my gaming PC before I buy and put together

Straight off the bat? Drop that PSU, and get something like an EVGA Supernova G3 650w. It will be fine for that build. If you plan OC'ing maybe a 750w.
There are other very decent PSU out there that won't cost 300+.

It's a great build, (PSU apart), what are you hoping to do with the system? Gaming, productivity? Have you a monitor your using? What res?

That’s pretty swell but a few of the items are overpriced for the return on investment.

The PSU is grossly oversized. The most you need is:

The extra $260 for the other one literally get you nothing.

Why Win10 Pro? Are you domain joined and needing gpo’s pushed? Again, not useful.

Are you burning blu-rays? Most systems dont even come with optical drives.

Half the price of the nvme gets you same capacity in a sata3 m.2

Speaking from experience having gone from sata3 to nvme, if i had a do-over would’ve gotten the crucial.

Far, far too much case. Any $100-ish mid-tower case is plenty roomy and will be easy to build in and quiet. Phantex Enthoo for example.

What monitor are you driving that you need to squeeze a little overclock on a 1080ti? Pascal tops out after a point and throwing an expensive liquid loop at it won’t push past that wall.
EDIT: hold a couple months and add the cost of loop to the cost of the ti and get an 11xx that is faster than the best OC you’d get on the other setup.

At 4k, it will be great. One could argue an I7 8700k would be good too with Intel build, but at that res, the difference isn't worth the extra cost.

You may be able to max out most games at 4k @ 60hz, but maybe not all. You might have to dial back the odd setting.

Future proof wise, it's solid for 4-5 years, with a GPU upgrade along the way to push better FPS at 4k. Like 144hz when those monitors come out.

Overall, a seriously good gaming system. Drop that Overkill PSU, get something that will do the job well, and be happy in the knowledge, you have a kick ass gaming system.

Still can’t fathom the point of the case or water block but it’s your $.

I’d wait a month on the gpu just see what nvidia launches. Would suck to buy that, mount the block, OC it, and have the 1180 come out and destroy it for less $.

Happy building!
