Need help upgrading a HP Compaq dc5800 Microtower

Hello everyone, pretty new here.

I really need help and advice on upgrading an HP Compaq dc5800 Microtower.

It's using...
- 2820h Model Motherboard
- GPU - Intel(R) Q33 Express Chipset Family
- CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E7400

I mostly use this computer with ProTools which I use for work, I want to make it a little if not a lot stronger for a stable workflow. Plus games would be nice to play nothing too fancy.

I'm on budget and need help. Which graphic card, CPU chip and maybe power supply will work on my system.

Edit: I forgot to mention I'm using 8 Gigs of RAM.

I have 8 Gigs of RAM on my computer.
How would that work exactly? like for the parts I need in order to built the ATX custom system? and how much money are we talking about here since I'm on a pretty tight budget.
