Dear Mac friends!
I have a late 2012 imac. It recently crashed compleatly and wont boot agen, and none of the install options work like boot from usb, recovery by internett or safemode etc. I figured it was a HDD issue, and bought a new SSD and swaped the old one. I also changed the Ram while at it.

However, i still have the same issue:
it freze during install/boot, both from usb boot and both recovery options. i have tried every startup key combination there is, nothing gets me forward.

Running diagnostic it tells me all is well with hardware. Im pretty handy with mac, but now im at a loss of options for what to do. Any suggestions?

Running it in verbose mode it stops at something with apfs rebuild?

and in when i tried booting it in Linux hoping i could get somewhere there it stops at acpi error ..

Please please help!!

I would also try doing a PRAM reset and an SMC reset. For each reset, power the Mac off. For the PRAM, hold Command + Option + P + R, then power the Mac on. Continue holding those keys until after the gray Apple logo startup screen appears. Once the Mac restarts again, release the keys. Try booting from USB again.

If it fails, try doing an SMC reset. The key combo for that is Control + Option + Shift. Power the Mac on while holding these keys and the SMC will reset after a couple seconds. Power on again and give the USB boot another try. Also be sure you are using the Left Control, Option, and Shift keys, or the SMC will not reset.
