So this all started Saturday 7/14/18 at my local Microcenter in Virginia. I wanted a little bit of an upgraded GPU than the Radeon X300 GPU that was in the computer already. I got home and followed the instructions to install it. The computer was off and I took out the original GPU and swapped it out with the GT 710. I booted up the computer and it made two beeps which meant that the "system memory has changed." The screen booted up black while it made the 2 beeps and that's it. I don't know what else to do now and I'm starting to think that the card is faulty. I use a TV as the monitor if that helps and there aren't any onboard graphics for this system.

Specs: Dell Dimension 8400,
PSU 350W
MOBO Intel J3492
Intel Pentium 4 540
A-TECH DDR2 4x1gb ram
ATI Radeon X300

The issue does go away when I put the old one back in the slot. Do you think there would be a newer BIOS for the computer or no? What also is weird is that on the box for the new GPU, it says that it is Windows XP compatible.
