Thinking about getting an SSD over Prime Day. Do you believe 240gb is too small for gaming?

The SSD that is was looking at is a SanDisk SSD PLUS 240GB. Do you think this would be a good idea or would you recommend another relatively cheap SSD? I do not have an SSD and always hear of how beneficial they are

Solution
I ran for a long time with only a 240gb ssd as my only drive. No problem.
In time, I accumulated more games and needed to upgrade to 500gb where I am now.
That is all I have or need for now.
It all comes down to how much space you need. Anything on the ssd performs better, the only negative is the cost per gb.
Fortunately, that is coming down.
Large sequential files such as videos properly belong on a HDD.
240gb is ok for the windows drive and a handful of games.
A ssd is one of the most satisfying performance buys for a pc.
I like the Samsung evo units.
In particular, I like the Samsung ssd migration aid which will move your C drive to their ssd easily.

It is too small if it is the only drive.
240/250GB combined with any other drive is fine.

do you mean literally any other drive or another SSD in particular?

Literally any other internal drive.
HDD or SSD.

A typical config might be a 250 or 500GB SSD with the SO and applications, and a 1 or 2TB HDD for anything that does not require the SSD speed.

Right.
All depends on use.

My wifes system happily lives on a single 250GB SSD.

On my system, just the VisualStudio install takes up 150GB+.
On a different drive, just the photography folder currently consumes 130GB. And only because I just moved 30-40GB off to elsewhere.

All the movies and music lives in the NAS box and spinning drives.
