Hello I just did a new build and I'm getting lower FPS in csgo then I had previously. I'm also getting massive frame drops from time to time. I just installed a 1070ti, asus strix 470x, ryzen 5 2600x, 16gb corsair vengence lpx 3000, 500gb ssd. I created the new build because I wasn't getting very good fps in csgo and I was also getting the frame drops. Not sure if I'm just doing something wrong?

Solution
Hey there, it may be time to uninstall cs and reinstall it. If that fails disable everything third party that might interfere such as shadow play etc. I've heard that shadow play can affect performance cs but that's just a theory, a game theory.

Which drivers? I had updated my GPU driver before I swapped my system and I didn't install any ryzen drivers.

I installed the lan driver, chipset driver, usb 3.1 driver and realtek driver and updated the mobo and i'm still having fps issues, I'm dropping to about 100 fps in a public server, what should my next move be?

Sorry, I just got back to my PC. I ran PUBG and got a solid 130 fps, idk if that's a good comparison. Should I run some benchmarking software that will test to make sure all of my components are running correctly?

PUBG is very demanding. 130 fps with it is astounding (so I hear). I have a problem playing Proving Grounds on my pc. I can barely manage 20 fps. However, this is the only game so far that does so bad. Since you can run one game well and another game not well, this must be a hint for what the problem is.

I've heard that since it's an older game and it only uses a couple of cores, that it's harder for modern processors to run it well, but some people don't have any problems. What would your suggestion be? I've done almost all of those FPS boost guides.
