would taking case of gpu help keep it cooler?

quick question, i have a asus gtx 960 4gb turbo, it gets really hot over long duration's of game play ect.., the temp says it gets to 75 max, but the airflow coming from the back is really really hot, isit possible taking the case off will help?

75 is still withing good temp range. Newer Nvidia cards, 900 series and newer, dont start to thermal throttle till 80* and damage around 100*

You can also download MSI afterburn and setup a custom fan profile to help cool the card down more.
