This might be helpful to you, original poster, and anyone new who might read this. Motherboards are made to a certain standard. ATX or micro ATX, or ITX, and so on.
The significance is that the graphics slot will be in the same place on all motherboards of that standard. In your photo you'll notice there are three slots, one blue two white, on the left side. On the right side you have those thin sticks in those thin slots.
If you were to look at your videocard and then at the two sets of slots, do you really imagine the videocard would fit anywhere on the right? You can double check this by picking random motherboards at Newegg or somewhere and seeing where the videocard slot is. You'll notice they are always in the same general area on all motherboards of that type.
