Best way to increase my game performance

So last year I built my very own computer. It was a budget computer that I wanted to get up and running. My PC specs are listed down below. If someone can let me know, with my current setup what would be the best component to upgrade to improve game performance. It plays most games well, however, some games, such as Battlefield 1 and far cry 5, keep dropping below 60 fps. If some one could help that would be great. Please reply if you need any more information

Specs:
GPU - GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 DirectX 12 2GB 128 bit
CPU - Intel Pentium G4560 Kaby Lake Dual-Core 3.5 GHz
Ram - 8 gb
Power Supply - EVGA - 80 PLUS 500W ATX 12V/EPS 12V
Mother Board - MSI H110M Gaming LGA 1151 Intel H110
Hard Drive - WD Blue 1tb Hard Drive
Montitor - LG 27MP58VQ-P 27" Full HD Monitor

Solution
G4560 is a dual core, but it has hyperthreading which gives it 4 threads.

G4560 and a GTX1050 are a relatively well balanced combo.
Here is my stock approach to the cpu vs. gpu upgrade question:

Some games are graphics limited like fast action shooters.
Others are cpu core speed limited like strategy, sims, and mmo.
Multiplayer tends to like many threads.

You need to find out which.

To help clarify your CPU/GPU options, run these two tests:

a) Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu...

Its because of your CPU its dual core most people have 8-cores, 4-cores, 2-cores is not good at all for gaming, get a better processor if you can get an 8-core. Everything else is good for gaming.

Video card is the #1 thing to upgrade if you want to play at higher resolution and settings. Don't listen to the people that say cpu when your GPU is weak. If you had a 1080 I would say CPU but you don't. A 1050 2GB is weak.

On ebay, look at completed auctions to see what the actual selling price was.
To get a good deal, one needs to buy used from an individual seller hoping to recoup some funds after a cpu upgrade.

A new dealer has to make a profit.

As always,, vet the seller.

What is wrong with you, the CPU is a DUAL CORE, obviously that is whats causing the lag, the graphics card is fine ALL THE GPU DOES IS GRAPHICS the CPU must process all the information so in his case with his DUAL CORE he must upgrade his CPU the 1050 is powerful enough + he has a low budget so if he upgraded his GPU what would he have left for the processor HE CANT just leave a DUAL CORE with a 1080. Thats just dumb, he must upgrade the CPU first.

Please the Pentium G4560 is a fine gaming processor. Most games don't need more than 4 threads.

"Intel Pentium G4560 Review: a great budget gaming CPU"
https://www.pcgamer.com/intel-pentium-g4560-review/

The video card is holding you back, NOT the CPU. If you go to a 7700K, you will NOT see a frame rate increase compared to going to a GTX1060 for example.

If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

b) Limit your cpu, either by reducing the OC, or, in windows power management, limit the maximum cpu% to something like 70%.
Go to control panel/power options/change plan settings/change advanced power settings/processor power management/maximum processor state/
This will simulate what a lack of cpu power will do.
Conversely what a 30% improvement in core speed might do.

You should also experiment with removing one or more cores/threads. You can do this in the windows msconfig boot advanced options option.
You will need to reboot for the change to take effect. Set the number of threads to less than you have.
This will tell you how sensitive your games are to the benefits of many threads.
If you see little difference, your game does not need all the threads you have.

It is possible that both tests are positive, indicating that you have a well balanced system,
and both cpu and gpu need to be upgraded to get better gaming FPS.

The best thing to do is run a game WHILE TASK MANAGER IS OPEN and if the CPU is being used 90-100% then you must upgrade your CPU if its less then like 50-70% then go ahead and upgrade your GPU. Please do this ok this will guarentee what needs to be upgraded first.

You don't have to listen to me OP but if you go from your new Pentium G4560 processor to something like an i3 as the others originally recommended, you will be disappointed. To get the best performance by going to 7700K, you will be spending a lot more money.

Yes but my task manager idea should decide.
