Installed the card and it does light up but getting message on monitor to connect PCIe power cables for this graphics card, what is wrong.

Yes, my card has a 6 pin and 8 pin connection, my power supply on two 6 pin connectors. The answer I guess is to buy new power supply with 6 pin and 8 pin connections, correct?
