****just read on someone using a 1070 that the fans DO go off at idle.. and start working under load. so i guess i am ok. when i restarted pc the fans spun and then shut off later. but is a 750w PSU adequate for this build??

Hopefully I have not trashed this card.. but this is a new system I built .. this is what I have..

STRIX X370-F GAMING BOARD

RYZEN 7 2700X CPU

EVGA 1070 TI GPU

CORSAIR H100I LIQUID COOLER

16 GIG KINGSTON 2400 RAM

The issue is this. When I got the board I had to get a boot kit from AMD which I got. As I needed to flash the BIOS to add the Ryzen 2700x.. that went fine.. when I turned the PC on with that CPU they sent me. I know the fans were working on the GPU.. so I went and flashed it and all worked fine. I got my Ryzen installed and everything worked. So I started partitioning my hard drive. I got that done ok. When I installed the Ryzen I put on a Corsair 100I cooler on it. I know the 1070 ti uses 500 watts in power.. but I just noticed that the 1070 ti fans are no longer working. No idea how long it's been like that.. the graphics seem fine on the PC display.. and I would think I would have gotten some sort of message or the graphics would have gone out. I have a corsair 750 watts power supply.. did I overload my system?? And what do I do now??

Yeah i freaked out as well first time with these cards. The 1070 i just assumed was all good after installing it, was running fine so never bothered to check fans, . Had the 1080ti system on a bench one time with the case panel opened and seeing the fans not spinning during boot or in windows.

Conniptions is one way to put it :D
