I recently upgraded my motherboard, cpu, and ram. While leaving everything else in the computer unchanged. Now windows is freaking out about it. When trying to run the motherboard installation CD, I get "motherboard support cd does not support this operating system". Trying to manually install drivers doesnt work either, yielding a similar message. I cant get online to download anything else because my network drivers arent installed. I cant use my phone to do it because it doesnt have USb drivers installed. I put in my Windows 7 DVD and tried a Repair, and even THAT said it didnt support the operating system.

Solution
Clean install means clean install. Upgrade is not a clean install. With 5 hard drives it should be easy to move any needed files to one of the other 4 drives, then format your boot drive and install Windows.

Im running a windows install using "upgrade" . hoping that will be enough without having to format my boot drive. I have 5 hard drives so Id rather not create more problems
