Hi, I have a dell optiplex from school that I have repaired, but there are still some issues, the case is missing some features, as the school took the hard drive and mounting caddy away, so I have no where to mount my 2.5 inch HDD. I need to know if there are any other ways to mount the hard drive, because I can't have a loose HDD when I give this to my younger sister. Also, is there a place to get replacement side panels, because the school took that too. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

On my current Corsair AIR 540, there are at least two large strips of duct tape, covering places where I don't want air to come in.
On my previous Antec ONE, duct tape covered the side panel grate. Resulting in 5C average lower temp.

Looks? I'm not out to impress anyone.
First you'll need your model and form factor, and if you have the service tag it'll help a lot as well,

You can try going through Dell directly, tho chances are they'll charge you an arm and a leg for the parts. I've been quoted $50 for 4 rubber grommets that hold on fans. BUT it'll at least get you the direct part number.

You can try 3rd party OEM parts people. Sites like these are usually cheaper than Dell directly.

Lastly I'd look at eBay. For something like a drive caddy it'll be easy as those tend to be pretty common parts. The sides might be more difficult, but if nothing else you may be able to buy a DOA system for parts pretty cheaply.

One other thing to keep in mind, unless that model came with an SSD, the drive caddy for it wont have a 2.5in mount so you'll need to also find a 3.5in to 2.5in converter. Those are super easy to find at amazon or your preferred online retailer.
