cant use both cable and wirelles

so i have a router connected to my modem and im trying to connect my pc using cable to my modem as well, but only one of them works. either i get internet to my pc and everything connected to the router doesnt or vice versa and i dont get any on the pc
any solutions?

Your modem only has one output. that should be connected to the Router, then you connect your PC to the Router(via cable or wireless), not the modem.
