Obviously when you uncap the fps the gpu will be running at 100% and working hardest, but it makes me wonder whether thats bad for the health of the gpu. or is it the opposite, or does it have no affect at all? I feel like my cpu got slower over the years of rendering so im wondering if uncapped fps will harm my gpu in the long term

Solution
Long term? Wear and tear. VRMs work harder, so do the fans as well as your PSU. Essentially, yes, it does shortens the life. How much so depends on the quality of your components, how well they're kept cooled, and how often you game.

Me? My monitor is standard 60hz. As such, I cap the FPS to 60 by enabling VSYNC. GPU stays much cooler and not worked as hard.
