Howdy! Which of the following LAN controllers is better?! A few opinions might be helpful!

For exemple, the MSI B450M Mortar Titanium has "Realtek® RTL8111H-CG" as LAN controller.

Marketing hype I suspect more than anything else. It likely is not even detectable or they would have stated how much it really is. Its like a car company that claims that they have special paint that reduces air drag and therefore increases gas mileage. They forget to mention that in the life of the car it saves well less than 1 gallon of fuel.

Both are near identical when it comes to networking. When dealing with a "gaming" series board/product, often times people have no clue as to what the backbone or underlying features are for the networking controller apart from getting you connected to the www.

What sort of options do you have access to and how much do they cost? If you're not dealing with packet prioritization on a particular network or a particular app, you're good buying just about any board with an onboard LAN controller.

I doubt you can detect the difference. This technology has been around for so long there is not much improvement that can be made.

The one key thing is do not load any of that silly gamer driver stuff. Killer started this mess and intel joined in. You can not affect any traffic outside your machine. Traffic on your machine can to a point be done but it means you are doing something stupid in most cases. There is no need to prioritize game traffic when you are only running the game on the machine. If you are doing torrent downloads at the same time maybe it is time to ask if you want good game performance would it not just be easier to not do silly stuff rather than expect a magic program to solve it.

Just using them as a simpler ethernet controller both will perform well. One of my machines has both a intel and a reltek ethernet and I have never seen any difference.

Okay then, but how about "CPU Usage"?! As far as I know for example that ASUS ROG STRIX X470-F/B450-F has Intel I211-AT as onboard LAN controller and I also saw on their website that says something like "Intel LAN reduces CPU overhead and increases TCP and UDP throughput, keeping more processing power available for the game." More exactly what does it means?! And yet I understand that Realtek LAN Controller is much cleaner without any kinda of gaming-ish driver stuff app like Intel and Killer Ethernet?! But that Realtek RTL8111H-CG LAN controller it works well though?! I'm apologize that I ask all sorts of questions but I just wanna know what onboard LAN controller is better than other!! That's all!
