New build Asrock x299e-itx RAM issue. (one stick = fine, two sticks = no post)

Hello,

I'm having issues with getting my new system to post.

Specifications.

Asrock x299e-itx/ac
Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16) 2666MHz (CMSX32GX4M2A2666C18)
Intel i9 7900x
Evga 1070 ti SC
Samsung Evo 970 m.2 500gb
Corsair SF600
Nzxt Kraken x52

Problem:

I built the system yesterday with all the components fresh from their boxes. Initially I couldn't get the system to post. Then I removed one ram stick and the system posted and I was able to install windows. I then tried both ram sticks separately in the same slot (A1) to see if one of the sticks was dodgy and it booted fine. Which tells me that both stick function individually. But the minute I add a stick to either one of the other ram slots (B1,C1,D1) trying every combination, the system fails to post. I also tried using B1+C1 etc...but nothing worked when two sticks were inserted.

This morning I cleared CMOS, and reseated the CPU and replugged all the cables, and now it wont even post with one stick of RAM. I just get no signal, and no beeps from the mobo.

Now I imagine its either the Mobo or the Ram that's the issue... I just don't know which one. I can send both back to the retailer, but it will cost me quite a bit to ship back to the UK where I purchased the products. (I live in Norway).

Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem could be?

Thanks in advance!

Seems like the board is faulty. Can you get into BIOS? Can you take the ram and test it out on another system? If possible, try removing the CMOS battery and replace it after 15 minutes, then try with a single stick of ram. If the sticks of ram both worked individually then the kit is not at faulty rather the slots or the board's BIOS which is why I'm pointing at the board.

Hi thanks for the help.
I just tried removing the CMOS battery and replacing it. No luck. Still doesn't post with either stick inserted.
I think its strange how it worked for a day with one stick... and then now its not even booting. I guess I could try and borrow a stick of DDR4 memory from somewhere and test that in the system to rule out the RAM, but I'm also leaning towards it being a mobo problem!

UPDATE:

I replaced the Motherboard, and the ram still did not function. So I installed a different ram kit (crucial) and it worked fine.

I figured it could be the bios that needed updating. ( in the bios update notes it stated that the new version improves ram compatibility) So I flashed the bios, and tried the Corsair kit again. Nothing....

So I'm RMA'ing the kit, and lets see if it works when it comes back..
