Right Angle to Straight SATA Power Cable

All,

I've recently built a pc for the first time and I have ran into a slight nuisance. I am currently using an NZXT S340 case which has 2 SSD drives on the shroud that covers the power supply. The location of this causes a hiccup when plugging in the SATA cables (they are both right angled).

The power supply I am using is a Corsair CX450M which included a daisy-chained SATA power cable that is right angled. While I currently have the system running, the SSD is pushed up slightly due to the power/data cables.

Is there a compatible cable/adapter than I can use to convert the 90 degree connections into a straight connection strictly for the power supply?

Additionally, I am less than satisfied with the daisy-chained SATA power connections as the location of my HDD and SSD are significantly far apart and it will prevent me from adding any other drives to this build (although my motherboard does support M.2 NVMe (I think that is what it is called), so I guess it just means I would need to take advantage of that. Are there any recommended compatible extensions that I could use to resolve my angle issue while also lengthening the distance of the SATA power cable?

I am getting some straight SATA data cables for my SSD but I am not sure how to deal with the power side of this issue.

It's advised to use the end of the SATA power connectors in a daisy chain. That way you get the flat, straight ended connector to deal with. You could fabricate a wire harness of your own with the use of SATA open ended connectors but you're going to have to understand pinout diagrams, have a crimper and then also have connectors for crimping.

Or you could pick this guy up from your local tech shop.

Lutfij,

I appreciate such a rapid response! But I don't think I've articulated my issues well enough. The connection for the SATA power cable has an end that is not straight, but had a 90 degree bend where the connection is made into the SSD (see the image below, though this image is not of CX450M, the connection is the same.)

I am looking for an adapter that could be placed on the end of this so the connection comes directly into the SSD without any bend.

Literally have the exact same issue. S340 case but with cx550m PSU. Don't know what to do with it. Might have to order an adapter but want to finish the build right now.
