Am i just unlucky that i got a bad card?

I cant get pass 4.15ghz in cinebench, com just freezes and crash (Best i did is 4.1)
My temps are super ridiculously high on idle (50*c) and base voltage is high (1.4v) too, tried to lower but computer fails to perfom and freezes after awhile

MOBO : MSI x470 Gaming Plus
CPU : Ryzen 2700x
GPU : ASUS turbo 1080
Ram : 8gb x 2 klevv 3000mhz
SSD : 500gb samsung evo 860
CPU Cooler : Cooler master 212 evo
PSU : CM Lite 700W

Anyone experiencing this with MSI mobos? or should i get a better cpu cooler?
From all the youtube videos i have seen, achieving 4.2ghz is a piece of cake
any suggestions to help a brother out :(

Many many videos show around 4.2 ish all core OC. So 4.15 is within range.
And for gaming and general use, opening up XFR2 and PBO, so letting the bios/cpu clock itself up, yields higher clockspeeds across loads that don't max out all the cores.
That is where you get the 4.35, not on manual all core OC's.

people using the stock wraith coolers can achieve 4.2 easily, thats unfair hahahaha

updated the newest vios version, did everything i knew to my knowledge and its still not working out :( i'm not even stable on 4.1 which scares me rn

ok i might try again later but the cpu stock voltage was at 1.35+ when first installed, i guess i might have gotten a bad mobo?

yes what worries me is about the temp, was too lazy so i requested the computer shop to set it up for me instead, if the problem still persists i will dismantle and fix it up back again to monitor.......

Yeah if I were you I'd get a handle on your temperatures before troubleshooting anything else. That CPU should not be running 50C idle. My 1800x is in the high 20's, albeit I have an AIO, but still you shouldn't be near 50.

The 2400g and 2700x are significantly different, with the 2400G having half the cores and a Vega GPU onboard. They behave under overclocking quite differently.

Most importantly the 2700X has a soldiered IHS and cannot be delidded. The 2400G has a thermal pasted IHS, hence the article you posted. Also in the 2400G you need to worry about the Vega cores and their temperature.
