So, for multiple months, at random times my WiFi is really slow on only my PC. I've tried different WiFi Cards and It's still bad. It's most noticeable when playing games as i get kicked due to high ping. I don't know if its me playing games that slows it down as I'm mostly on games when on my PC. I'm not sure if i should contact my internet provider or if it is a virus. I'm quite certain it isn't a virus/malware as I've had my PC checked up on recently and they didn't mention anything like that. Thanks for any help given :)

What is your internet speed? If you dont know it you could go to speedtest.com and check your speed. Also, where os your router? Are you using the modem that came with the your internet package? Finally, bave you tried using ethernet? Has it helped?

Thats when speeds are fine, but when it has these slow moments, download is below 10mbps. My router is downstairs, im upstairs, right above the room with the router downstairs. Haven't tried ethernet as I have no ethernet port near my pc, I could set it up somehow however just moved into this house and its old so it has very few sockets. It would be a lot of hassle to get working.

This sounds more like a saturation issue in your area. Where do you live? Do these happen at certain times (e.g. at 18:00) or at random?
It also could be that your family is using it. Do you live on your own?

They happen at random times I think, I live with my family however, they only use the internet for basic internet browsing and youtube at 1080p. I live in surrey, UK

Tbh it looks like a saturations issue, like when a lot of people get on the internet at the same tome in your area. I think the only way to fix it is to get a beyter internet package.

Its probably that as everyone in your house is streaming video, they dont need low ping, and they are using up all of those 10mb/s down. Also, it could be that your upload is super slow at those times as well. Watching video does not need upload, but playing video games does.
