I received a brand new computer yesterday and I encountered a problem immediately. When I play games, after a little bit of time something goes wrong and the screen freezes and get a bunch of random colored squares across the entire screen. The screen usually turns black then either it closes the game, restarts the computer or I get some sort of error.
I have have had two blue screens with the errors being video scheduler internal error and dpc watchdog violation. I have also received an error that just said my gpu driver crashed and just closed the game.

I assume it has to do with my graphics card but I don't really have any idea what to do.
It has a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080
I am willing to try anything at this point.
I have a feeling that its just my gpu drive crashing repetitively but i don't know for sure.

Solution
if the pc was shipped to you. take power off the wall and power supply. open the case and make sure everything still locked down. for ram test use a bootable usb stick for memtest86. download hardware info see if the pc over heating or there a power issue.
RELAX, is this a new pre built OEM pc or a custom build that you had done? first did you plug the monitor into the GPU and not the MB? anywhere on your desktop is there a Geforce experience icon? if there is open it and and click on a tab that says drivers> then it should say either download latest drivers or you have the latest drivers installed> from there let us know if you can
