Does junction (or mklink) slow your PC down?

I'm having like 5 junctions running in my PC right now. But just wondering, does it really slow your PC?

In this particular case, I created a junction between my SSD and M.2 SSD. Will it affect performance?

The mklink function doesn't. Just that whatever is running on the slower drive will be...slower.

What are you using this junction thing for?

Thanks for your reply, currently I'm using this for Apple Device backups (mostly), and giving Minecraft a new install directory.
