Hey! I just wanted to make things clear, i am not that of a "pc" person. Of course i know what intel i5,i7, atx 1070-1080 are, but other than that im kind of new. And sorry for bad english, im from Norway :p

For about a year from now i bought a new pc from facebook(its like a community site from the city i live in). It works great and i couldt ask for more! But since now the release of the new Fallout game "Fallout 76" its on its way, I want to upgrade my graphics-card since i am not sure if my old one can handle it the way i need it to. I know its idiotic thinking but i need 60 fps in games, or the game wont be the same.
Anyways so what im planning is to buy a new gtx 1070, but im not sure that my prosesssor can handle it, heres my pc specs:
AMD FX-8370, 8-core, 4.3 GHz
16GB Kingston Hyper Beast RAM
AMD Radeon R9 390 grafics-card (Old one)
Amd Krait Edition motherboard.

So my question is: Does GTX 1070 even support my pc specs. Does it even support AMD prosessors and can the prossesor handle GTX 1070. And if everything is good i would love some reccomendations on what 1070 i should buy.

Thanks for reading though this, and again sorry if i misspelled something

For your GPU, I'd wait until the 11-series comes out, then buy something like an 1160/70 to ensure longevity. Be sure to buy from a place that has a good return policy, since Ryzen can be...
Your english is perfectly fine, dont worry about it! I would say that the thing holding your system back the most right now would actually be your CPU, as it is quite dated and has poor modern gaming performance. I would advise looking into upgrading, possibly to something like the 2600 with a B450 board.

Do note that you'll also need to buy DDR4 RAM, so it will come at a premium. I still think the 390 will last you another year or so (as long as you're at 1080p), but I HEAVILY recommend making the CPU upgrade ASAP. If you can give me a budget, I can give you a shopping list!

Be sure to buy from a place that has a good return policy, since Ryzen can be finicky with the RAM sometimes. Also, be ready to reinstall windows after you upgrade the hardware. What PSU are you running right now?
