My CPU consist

AM3+ processor 8150 overclocked. Asus strix 1070ti.
Cooler master thunder 600 watt psu.
16 GB 2x8 1600hz Corsair vengeance Ram.
1tb + 80 GB HDD.
Acer 4k monitor.
M5A88M motherboard.

Main problem is I am having multiple PSU all with same melted Processor 4 pin socket. Right now I am pissed off with this AMD board and processor due to this meltin issue and large power draw from wall.
Please suggest me any better PSU atleast which will support the processor pin and not gonna get melted.
I am thinking of buying Corsair RMx 850 watt psu. Is it gonna be fine??

I don’t think you should change your PSU, but your CPU and motherboard.

In CPU intensive games, your CPU will slightly bottleneck your 1070, maybe not something you’d notice, but you’ll honestly get more frames and prevent all your problems with the FX-8150 if you upgrade your CPU and keep your current PSU. It’ll save you for the future (the FX line is dying).

Here is what I suggest:
1) sell your motherboard and CPU, 2nd hand for a decent price, do some research
2) use that money, get an AM4 socket motherboard (B350M if you have some money to spend or an A320M-K as a budget motherboard) and get a Ryzen 1200 CPU

Not only will this bring better performance, but will help you in the future as you won’t have to upgrade in a while in...

But the choice is yours, but I suggest you do some more digging. Good luck!
