I have just completed a new build pc and haven't been able to connect to the internet and was looking for some help having not been able to get any results from following suggestions already posted elsewhere by others.
My ethernet connection shows an unidentified network with no internet access. troubleshooting produces the following problems found: '"ethernet" doesn't have a valid ip configuration' and also 'A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken'.
This is despite the cable connecting my laptop correctly when connected to it from the same connection point. All drivers are up to date. I hope somone can help and thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Intel i5-8600K
