Problems with ASUS phone

I bought a refurbished phone off newegg and it had been giving me issues. every time when I try to get passed the google verify account. I get an unknown error message to try again in 24 hours is this an easy fix or should I send the phone back?

Are you trying to complete, or skip the verify process? What error message are you getting specifically?

Google has a verification process, where when resetting the phone without removing a Google account, you have to sign back in with the linked account.
If that's the situation you're dealing with there, I'd send it back to NewEgg. It's not fully "refurbished", it's just reset (like you or I could perform at home, via the settings menu on a phone).

It won't let me skip I tried creating a new account and I get the same message "Unable to sign into device due to unknown error. please try another account or sign in after 24 hrs"
