Downgrading deleted my work folder

I downgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 7, just because of my games, and I realized when I go to the windows.old folder they make, I go to the username and click on desktop. That is where my work folder is located by the way. And it only had Microsoft Edge on the desktop supposedly. I kept searching and searching with different file names I remember, but it isn't pulling anything useful up. Can someone please help me? I have over 200 files in that folder and I don't know how it could have been lost in the process. Considering this has never happened to me before when downgrading.

Solution
There's chance that One drive has synced some files, depending how it was set up. For that you might have to switch back to W10. I never keep personal files on same disk as OS.

Damn, I really wish I would have backed up that folder on my flash driver, I do that everytime after reinstalling OSes. Is there nothing I could do? I still have the Windows.old folder just in case, and I suspect OneDrive could be the problem of this.

And how would I switch back? Just installing the media creation tool on my other flash drive?

See that pic to the right? -------------->
That is relevant here.

Downgrading from Win 10 to 7 was a full reinstall. It wiped out everything.
Switching back to Win 10 won't find your stuff, unless it is online somewhere...OneDrive, for instance.

Haha pretty much. And it was not a full reinstall, for instance my steam folder was still backed up in the windows.old, and pretty much all of my files from the Program Files folder (and x86 of course) were also still there. I did indeed find my work folder in OneDrive, but not all of my work was backed up, only up until the 9th for some reason. So, for the most part, I still have most of my work folder.
