drivers are up to date,. and the problem only seems to be happening with the two origin games which are battlefront 2 and battlefield 1 I just got through playing doom getting 60 to 72 fps on high settings no lag at all. and the the witcher 3 60 fps on high settings.

I would use something like MSI Afterburner to monitor what's happening with your hardware: CPU, GPU and RAM frequencies and usage; CPU and GPU temperatures; fps and frame times; and if necessary page file. Should give a clue what happens when the drops happen.

I do and I don't see anything really unusual sometimes the video card usage hits 100% and the frame rates are very low or fluctuating. that's all I can see so far. but so far only happens with the two origin games which are battlefield 1 and battlefront 2. if that changes ill let you know.

You don't happen to be using Twitch or some other live streaming or maybe recording your gaming action? Your system spec seems good enough except being a quad core CPU so streaming may intrude more than you'd like in some scenarios.

Otherwise, being games from Origin it could certainly be that driver version at fault. Or setup: look for something like Nvidia Hair controls to turn off as emulating Nvidia hardware takes a major toll on AMD boards.

I just got through playing battlefield 1 with no issues.... very strange...… and nothing being used in the background.....

Definitely look for something else going on in the system while gaming. Like I said, you've certainly good system spec. but a quad core (I don't think 1200's are multi-threaded are they?) has a lot less margin when something else happens to be running in the background.

Oh, and also look at the game preset optimizations in Radeon Settings. You could be running at 4k,Virtual Super Resolution, without even knowing it. That's happened to me before.

The other thing about Doom, at least, is being a Vulkan title it's very well optimized for AMD hardware and massive margin for smoothness.
