A friend give me a module of 4gb ram ddr3 1600 , and my pc was freeze couple of times, i did a memtest with linux and the message is that the memory is corrupt, look like broken. could be becouse incompatubility with motherboard?? or probably the ram is broken?
My motherboard especification shay this :
4 x DIMM, Max. 16 GB, DDR3 2200(O.C.)*/2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333 ECC,Non-ECC Memory .Compatible con Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)

i have a modulo at 1333 ddr3 thats works fine, my idea was buy 1600 modules thinking is not a problem becous just it will work more slow, and afther i overclock by the motherboard to its natural 1600ghz. Thinking that way i goig to find less problems that if i overclok 1333 memory to 1600, does it any sense? thanks
