I am looking to expand my storage and I want to get a M.2 SSD but don't know what my Motherboard supports.

my motherboard is a Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming. I know a lot about computers but never really looked into these type of SSDs so I have no clue which ones to buy I am on this site. and want x1 500GB SSD. I dont have any more space for the normal SSDs so I have two slots for the M.2 as much as I can see on the board.

If anyone can help me out that'll be great and link me the best SSD, speed wise. cost wise. and support that will actually work on my board. because I don't want to buy one and then it doesn't work.

Thank you.

Solution
Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming can support up to 2 m.2 SSDs by default.
You can simply get m.2 to pcie adaptors if you need more and as long as you still have a PCIe slot free.

As for m.2 SSD recommendation, I would recommend Samsung EVO 970.
Get at least 250GB.
