I just built my first PC for gaming, it was actually really fun an overall nice and easy experience. Before i placed the pc in the case i ran a test outside of the case and booted up the bios. Everything was connected from the cpu to the fans as it was displayed in the BIOS. I later installed windows 10 and started downloading my files and games on my brand new PC. But all of a sudden after 10-20 minutes later i heard the audio of something connecting and disconnecting rapidly followed by a black screen and finally distorted audio. I tried restarting without success. So then i formatted the storage from everything (Even the OS) and reinstalled windows 10 again but this time let it run without me touching the system and the same thing occurred. Then i decided to boot into safe mode were i was able to run everything smoothly without any crashes. Does anyone have any idea what to do? I'm kinda lost at this point D:

Solution
Since it works fine in safe mode, I'd consider a defective device may be the culprit. The Win connect/disconnect sound may be a device making and breaking. Could be a device integral to the board itself, even.

Check for tight connections, pinched cables, etc. If all else fails, take the stuff out of the case again and try everything in bread-board mode again. Then look into the case and be sure you didn't inadvertently add an extra standoff where ones doesn't belong that may be shorting out the back of the board.

i removed the mobo from the case and tried rebooting it again but the same issue appeared again. i think it might have something to do with the GPU since it was given to me by a friend that said the GPU didn't work because its too power hungry BTW its an r9 290x 4gb. ill take iit to a store and ask if the problem persist with him.

Ah, sounds like that may be the problem then. Let us know the results.
What are your system specs? Do you have integrated video?

Turns out it was the gpu that was not working :ange: the tech guy offered me a sweet deal for his 2 month old gtx 1060 from evga (190bucks) that he personally owned since he wants to save up for the 1100 series from nvidia, so i decided to take it. At the end it all worked out with nicely fro everyone :3
Thx for your time and effort :D
