I picked up an older system and threw in a GT 1030 in it. This has happened before, and I was able to uninstall ALL drivers and reinstall all of them and took me a mere 2 hours. After that I began putting my pc on sleep rather than shutting it off completely. Recently, I had a power outage, and when my hdmi is connected to the gpu, it gave my monitor a new signal. I switched on over to the VGA on the motherboard and I can see that that works, and I see that on device manager that I have the intel chipset thing. This is really agitating me I really need to know whats going on.
sidenote: the gpu is 64 bit and i have a 32 bit windows 7 os on this pc. I'm getting 64 bit win 7 soon. Maybe thats why?
specs:
intel pentium e5400 2.7 ghz
4gb ddr3 ram, 3gb useable
500gb hdd
zotac gt 1030
300w asus psu
update: I left the pc shutdown over night and turned it on and it was working again maybe its a thermal issue?
