My SSD is working fine but my HDD is not working at all when i went to disk management it told me it was unallocated and in short I have no clue how to allocate it. When I right click it there isn't a format option just convert to MBR/dynamic disk and properties. I'm running windows 10 and this is the first PC i built so forgive my ignorance thank you!

Solution
If you can see the hdd in disk manager then it is working (from hardware perspective).

Before you can use a hdd in windows, it needs to be partitioned. This is what this option is doing for you.

How big is the disk? if it is bigger than 2TB you will need to use GPT partitioning otherwise MBR is ok.
So yes select an option to convert it to a basic disk.

Once you have a partition on the hdd, you can format.

Alternate you can use a command line task called diskpart.exe.

Read up on it and ask if you have problems
