Hello

Im building new system.

Ryzen 2 2700x
+ MSI x470 Carbon + F4-3200C16D-16GTZB (???).

My q is will this ram model work on MSI mb (plug and work on 3200).

https://www.gskill.com/en/configurator?manu=55&chip=3396&model=3397
This model is not listed so it mean it wont work at all ( or will work but on lower speed) ?? or is more like 50/50 ?

Reading forum i found : http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3710008/found-skill-announcement-amd-x470-memory.html

So does it mean : F4-3200C16D-16GSXWB should work ?

Or just for safe should i buy : F4-3200C14D-16GFX

Flare is ~ 55-60E more expensive

Or if any one could sugest any 3200 RAM for this mb

Ty for any help

I would take a chance and buy the cheaper RAM, but make sure you get it from a vendor who accepts returns just in case. If you had a 300 series chipset, I would not do it, but the x470 has matured quite a bit.

Additionally, 3200mhz is a reasonable expectation for the x470, so that should make you feel a little better. If you were going for 3600mhz or higher, your odds would be much lower of it working. But 3200mhz is definitely obtainable. You just may need to tinker a little to get there.
i think the chance of the ram working is pretty high, just make sure your bios is most up to date.

3200c14 give you a samsung b-die, which ryzen cpu seems to like, you need to turn on the axmp or whatever name they have for xmp equivalent in the bios to get the speed.

personally, i would pick the gamble and get the 3200c16 ram, and use the $60 dollar elsewhere.
