Can I replace plug port on portable hard drive

Hey people my port that connects to my portable hard drive as broken off an can not read...I have been told that it can be replaced but have no clue where to buy part from can someone please help....here is my email <personal email redacted by Moderator>...thanks Scott

the thing is if its a modern portable drive then the port is directly on the hard drive itself so you may need to find the exact model of the drive you have you can buy for parts.

scottiedale1984, if the drive is in warranty contact the manufactures support line. If not, mostly likely the previous solution is best.
