Hi, i have just bought this cpu, i am very familliar with overclocking but i have very little knowledge of voltage ranges for this cpu. As of now i have an 4.8 ghz oc @ 1.24v on a kraken x62 and running intel burn test for about 30 min yeilds a temp of about 75 degrees. Is this voltage too high and should try to lower it or should i leave it?

tenningafroggs,

14 nanometer processors are OK up to 1.4 Vcore, so you're well within limits. Here's the maximum recommended Core voltage for the past 12 years per microarchitecture from 14 to 65 nanometers:

Here's the nominal operating range for Core temperature:

Core temperatures above 85°C are not recommended.

Core temperatures below 80°C are ideal. You might want to look at our Guide: Intel CPU Temperature Guide - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1800828/intel-temperature-guide.html
